First and foremost I think we must decide on a way to break up the work for the group project. After everyone has read the statute, and understands what the actual law states, we can better focus our recommendations based on the actual law in New Jersey regarding waivers. Whether we decide to give individual assignments, or create topical teams, or divide the labor, we have to decide the format of out project/presentation and who will do what. I propose that we have a brief discussion of the issues of New Jersey waiver, come up with an outline of the major topics we want to touch on, and assign work at our next meetings. All the best! LSH
I absolutely agree. It may also be helpful to open up two units: an administrative unit and a research unit (all of us will have a role in both areas) to make things runs efficiently.
So for example, someone in administrative unit should be responsible for maintaining the blog, another person in keeping minutes, another in room reservations, another in emails, etc. These persons would simultaneously also work in research in their preferred areas.
I agree...if we divide the group up we will all contribute. What ever section you are in charge of, you will present on and make the power point for that section. It's really easy. We need to work with pairs though so we have others reading our writing.
I think it would be best for each individual to take to task a role in which s/he will excel. A strong writer would obviously write and etc.
I think this would ensure continuity and avoid choppiness. But this doesn't necessarily mean that we cannot research our areas of interest.
I don't think accountability is that much of a problem. I just feel that we all would be more efficient if we were to delegate tasks to certain individuals.
