Group Activity

Thinking about what Cheryl said, I think it may be helpful for us to do some sort of group activity .

My thoughts are that perhaps each of us should just jot down a few sentences about how we see ourselves as a part of the larger group. What role do you feel comfortable doing? What would you like to do? Etc. In essence, define your own role in the group (however much you fee comfortable sharing).

And then jot down a few sentences how you envision the group to operate.

It sounds hokie, but it might help.

P.S. If this sounds crazy, then we don't have to do it. But I know that it will help me understand where each of us are coming from.

P.S.S. We should also start meetings with check-ins.

i agree meetings should start with check-ins.

I envision myself doing what I am already doing...taking the lead in contacting resources and following up on the research. I would also like to be an editor and contribute to the formatting of the final report.

hey seyron! i didn't see your post until now - it was buried under a lot of other stuff. i like your idea. check in's would be a great way to start, i know we're all frustrated. maybe we each go around and say how we're feeling to start the meetings?

and i see myself doing a lot of the physical layout, like design and graphics, as well as preparing for the presentation (powerpoint and presenting).

i really like doing holistic things - like making sure our paper works thematically and flows.
